On November 3, 2026, Florida should elect a Democrat to US Senate

This year Florida expects to hold a special election to fill the US Senate seat vacated by Marco Rubio. Ashley Moody (R) currently has been appointed by the Governor. The Democrats are fielding 10 candidates so far.

Hispanic Veterans in history are remembered

A February 2025 memo directed the DEI, diversity, equity, and inclusion, content to be removed from websites. Since then, some has been replaced due to public outcry.

In the Ships of the Line page is a brief listing of the US Navy ships named after Hispanics.

The Honor Latino page lists the sixty Hispanic Veterans awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for Valor above and beyond the call of duty in face of enemy fire.

A call to Latino Veterans

Hello, I am a US Navy Chief, retired. I’m asking Latino Veterans to become visible in your communities. You can do this by wearing a ballcap of your service or unit, or wearing a patch on your clothing, or placing a decal on your vehicles.

People do not know we exists.

I’m calling on Latino Veterans in South Florida to begin to organize and become aware of the possibility of losing our benefits. Are we going to let that happen?

My desire is to create an association of Latino Veterans to render assistance to Latino Families who may be food insecure.
