Congressional Medal of Honor

The Congressional Medal of Honor is awarded to service members who have demonstrated valor in action above and beyond the call of duty in face of enemy fire. These are American Combat Heroes. The medal has been awarded since the 1860’s.  On last count, there are sixty recipients of the Medal of Honor awarded to Hispanic Americans. Did you know that Hispanic Americans is one of the most highly decorated minority groups in the rolls of the Armed Forces of the United States? To some Americans this is what the process of immigration and becoming an American is all about.  Shedding blood in combat for this country is the greatest tribute any immigrant can make to America.
